Encompassing the well known area around the Stadthuys and most of
Melaka's most famous historical treasures as well as the ever fascinating
Chinatown with its antique shops and restaurants the Historical
District is an ideal location from which to explore Melaka's past.
For our purposes this area encompasses hotels south of Jl. Munshi
Abdullah and within the immediate vicinity of Stadthuys.
Hotels in the historical district range from world renown 5 star
properties to delightful boutique properties. |
Melaka
City Centre
Melaka City Centre is the commercial centre of Melaka,
however the landscape is dominated by old 3 storey shophouses that
give Melaka its charm and ambiance.
Hotels in this area are concentrated along Jl. Bendahara north of
Jl. Munshi Abdullah. And, whilst not in as close to Melaka's historical
district, nonetheless the hotels are within easy walking distance
to it.
Hotels in Melaka City Centre are usually larger, full service 3
and 4 star properties managed by local chains with an international
presence. |
Surrounding
Area
Outside the city of Melaka itself are a growing number
of hotels and resorts luring visitors with their own unique attractions
(i.e. golf or watersports), location and so on.
We are currently in the process of gathering information on these
properties and when finished will activate this area. |
