District
Encompassing the well known area around Stadthuys and most of Melaka's most famous historical treasures as well as the ever fascinating Chinatown with its antique shops and restaurants the Historical District is the ideal location from which to explore Melaka's past.
For our purposes this area encompasses hotels south of Jl. Munshi Abdullah and within the immediate vicinity of Stadthuys. Accommodation in the historical district ranges from international 5 star properties to delightful boutique hotels.

City Centre
Melaka City Centre is the commercial and trading centre of Melaka, still the landscape is dominated by vintage three storey shophouses that give Melaka its charm and ambiance.
Hotels in this area are concentrated along Jl. Bendahara north of Jl. Munshi Abdullah and within (approximately 15-20 minutes or so) walking distance to the Historical District. Hotels in Melaka City Centre are usually larger, full service 3 and 4 star properties managed by local chains - some with an international presence. |

of hotels and resorts luring visitors with their own unique attractions

Most notably beginning 26 October, Malaysia's Hindu community begins a month long celebration of Deepavali the festival of lights making Melaka especially colourful and Mahkota Parade lights up with Deepavali promotions for this festive occasion. So for anyone looking for a nice, relaxing holiday at good value for money we welcome you to Melaka to discover its historic charm and enjoy its warm, gracious hospitality.
That being said, Melaka hotels are particularly busy on weekends and especially so on holiday weekends so if you do plan to visit on a weekend do book your Melaka hotel as far in advance as possible to get the best choice and rate as possible. Enjoy! |
